Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

Financial Control & Governance
- Ensure robust financial controls, policies, and compliance frameworks are in place.
- Oversee statutory reporting, audit processes, and tax compliance.
- Maintain compliance with all financial regulations and corporate governance requirements.
- Manage organisational risk, treasury, and cash flow effectively.
Commercial & Operational Support
- Partner with operational leaders to improve business performance and profitability.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and operational efficiency.
- Support pricing strategies, commercial negotiations, and investment decisions.
- Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, or fundraising opportunities.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
- Ensure succession planning and capability development within the finance function.
- Promote collaboration across departments and functions.
Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with investors, banks, auditors, advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- Present financial performance and strategic updates to the Board and stakeholders.
- Support investor relations and fundraising initiatives where applicable.
- Act as a trusted strategic advisor to the executive leadership team.
Candidate Profile
Experience
- Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director, VP Finance, or senior financial executive.
- Strong track record of financial leadership within [industry/sector].
- Experience managing financial strategy, reporting, and operational finance functions.
