McCoy Construction & Forestry, a John Deere dealership group with 25 locations across the Midwest and East South Central Regions, has an opening for a Chief Financial Officer.
The Chief Financial Officer will direct and oversee the financial activities of the corporation, direct the preparation of financial reports and summaries, and direct budgeting activities along with providing financial support for all current and proposed financial activities. • Oversees Accounting, Credit, Accounts Payable and Receivables, Billing and Finance departments
- Responsible for budget preparation and supporting annual audit functions.
- Works with other executive teams in strategic planning and makes recommendations related to expense management and proposed business ventures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (not in order of priority):
- Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
- Provide executive management insight related to internal and external benchmarking of financial performance.
- Analyzes operations to identify areas of opportunity and work with management to incorporate the needed change.
- Works with the President and other executives to create an annual financial budget and strategic plan.
- Participate in regional general manager strategic management meetings.
- Oversee and evaluate the group’s technology needs and instrumental in leading technology projects.
- Participate in the annual quoting and selecting of the group’s insurance carrier.
- Oversee financial analysis for the group
- Participate in OEM strategic meetings and provide oversight of OEM programs
- Oversee all financial institution relationships and negotiate terms of any needed lines of credit or financing.
- Oversee all acquisition activities and analysis related to the target opportunity
Education, Skills & Knowledge Preferred:
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required.
- Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
- Eight to ten years of experience in financial management required.
Work Environment:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access various departments of a given location.
