The role of the Vice President, Office of the Chief Executive Officer is a multi-faceted role, designed to support and advance the strategic vision of the Chief Executive Officer.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the role is part of the company’s senior leadership team and interfaces with leadership across the Blue Shield of California organization, the board of directors and external constituents. This role contributes to Blue Shield of California’s overall strategy and goals by providing consistent, coordinated leadership to the CEO by operating in partnership with senior leadership.
This role is responsible for providing strategic leadership, overseeing daily CEO Operations, managing key initiatives, stakeholder management, cross-functional coordination, organizational alignment with CEO goals and executive support and advisory. This role requires a thoughtful leader who is deeply committed to the CEO’s success and the achievement of company goals.

The pay range for this role is: $290,000.00 to $330,000.00 for California.
Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
