The South Bay Delivery is a newly developed organization that will lead the creation and execution of breakthrough outcomes for the South Bay. The South Bay Delivery will require leadership to bring multiple internal and external stakeholders together, to power the economic prosperity of the South Bay through improved work delivery performance and processes that deliver daily results for new large load customers as well as our existing residential and commercial customers, while also developing and executing on an ambitious plan to help San Jose achieve its goal to be the first large net-zero city in the U.S.
Position Summary
The Chief of Staff position will partner with South Bay Delivery leadership, EP&S peers as well as enterprise support functions to lead on strategic planning and business management processes, budgeting, communications, performance measurement, affinity and co-worker engagement, and/or continuous improvement programs for the Vice President. Oversees complex projects and key initiatives. Plans, coordinates, and shapes content for meetings, activities, and communications for the officer. Represents the officer for various strategic planning processes, communications, and programs.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The work location is Oakland, CA.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $136,000.00
Bay Area Maximum: $232,000.00
Reporting Relationship
This position reports to the Vice President – South Bay Delivery.
Job Responsibilities
Leads KPI development and the Lean Operating System implementation for the South Bay Delivery organization in close collaboration with the VP’s Direct Reports. Organizes and facilitates DORs, WORs and MORs to ensure effectiveness of reviews.
Develops and shapes content for various executive forums ensuring execution of key strategic objectives.
Leads effort to coordinate, understand, analyze, and determine action plans to address improvement opportunity areas across the organization (e.g., benchmarking, upward feedback, Joy at Work, etc.).
Manage coordination of employee engagement programs for organization as well as co-worker development initiatives.
Take on ad hoc projects that may arise in order to support the organization’s needs with minimal supervision.
Additional responsibilities may include:
Responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, performance measurement, and continuous improvement of strategic planning and business management processes for the South Bay Delivery organization
Monitors and ensures all strategic planning and business management processes and deliverables for the South Bay Delivery organization are aligned with PG&E’s mission and vision.
Collaborates with various officers, managers, and other leaders to develop and review budgetary requirements and support the achievement of strategic goals and objectives.
Establishes and supports governance, risk, and compliance processes for operational plans and resource administration.
Plans, organizes, and supports various meetings, activities, and communications for vice presidents, managers, and other leaders.
Researches, analyzes, and responds to various inquiries and issues and develops recommendations to support decision making actions

Qualifications
Minimum
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Experience in business, job-related, 8 years
Desired
Master’s degree, MBA, or equivalent
Experience in Resource Planning, or related
Experience in risk management, Utility Industry, or related
Experience in Operational Planning
