Chief Operating Officer (COO) Full Time

We are hiring for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) in Dayton, WA!

Position Summary

Columbia County Health System is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our leadership team. The COO will provide day-to-day operational oversight of the hospital and health system, ensuring excellence in patient care, compliance, and organizational performance. This role collaborates closely with the CEO, finance team, and other senior leaders to drive strategic initiatives and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple departments and ensure smooth daily operations across the health system.
• Partner with the finance team on financial management, including annual budgets, variance analysis, and monthly reporting.
• Collaborate with leadership on capital budgets and cost-benefit analyses for new or expanding programs.
• Monitor and improve productivity through streamlined processes and effective delegation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, accrediting standards, and hospital policies.
• Interpret and communicate hospital policies; recommend changes to senior leadership.
• Participate in strategic planning and align operating and capital budgets with organizational goals.
• Prepare monthly COO reports for the CEO and Board of Directors.
• Foster collaboration among clinical departments, medical staff, and leadership for integrated care delivery.
• Engage in continuing education and seek innovative solutions to enhance healthcare services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related field required. Master’s degree is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of Healthcare Administration experience preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $140,000 – $185,000 annually
• Full-Time, 40 hours per week
