The Chief Operating Officer leads operational effectiveness to ensure excellence in all the patient care provided to the community. Develops a leadership team that is focused on ensuring PeaceHealth provides the best care at the lowest cost. This through creating a highly engaging leadership team and culture. Plans, organizes, and enhances internal operations to effectively support the community’s immediate and long-range strategic objectives. Focusses on clinical excellence, operational efficiency (reducing waste), and leading a LEAN culture. Serves as a peer with other members of the Network Executive Team and is accountable for the integration of operational services and improvements to deliver high quality patient-focused care, assuring local community and mission needs are served. Takes network wide responsibility for assigned areas and service lines. Achieves goals that align with our System Goals that support Clinical Excellence, Top Value, Engagement, and Community Wellness. Effectively engages colleagues and stakeholders throughout PeaceHealth. Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for managing hospital services under the hospital license and to ensure adherence to quality and regulatory requirements in collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). The COO PHSW must ensure that quality and performance improvement activities meet their target conditions. The COO PHSW is responsible to adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and standards for their areas and to be continuously ready for any survey on those regulations or standards.

The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $286,027 – $438,277. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, seniority, etc.
