The Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS) Housing and Community Development (HCD) Division is recruiting for a Chief of Strategy and Operations (CSO), Strategic Planning Manager II to join the HCD Executive Leadership Team and will report to the HCD Director. The CSO is a highly strategic and experienced leader responsible for managing administrative operations of the division and providing operational support to division leadership, including tracking key deliverables, supporting a pro-equity team culture, and leading records management and use of cloud-based tools. In this role, the CSO collaborates closely with HCD leadership to provide oversight and leadership across fiscal, human resources, and other administrative operations. This role will also be responsible for developing policies, procedures, and otherwise developing or improving administrative and operational infrastructure for the division.
HCD is one of five Divisions within DCHS. Its mission is to increase housing stability and develop strong communities while committing to being an anti-racist division and collaborating with partners to implement solutions helping historically excluded and systemically marginalized people. The division manages a biennium budget of approximately $800 million dollars with over 70 staff that work on a variety of projects, including housing policy and planning, capital development and preservation, housing stability and homelessness prevention and the Health Through Housing Initiative.
