Position Summary:
The Chief Information Officer is responsible for leading the Secretary of State’s Information Technology Division by developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy aligned with the agency’s overall objectives, ensuring efficient resource allocation. This position will manage the IT division staff, and oversee all aspects of technology infrastructure, systems, software development, data, and network security. This position requires a leader with a vision for advancement of technology that will enhance the agency’s productivity and deliver exceptional service to customers. This position works closely with senior leaders and agency executives to align IT systems to their requirements and to ensure efficiency of security and IT capabilities.
The candidate for this position must be a self-starter with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and an ability to manage and motivate staff.
