Job Description
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) (Temporary) is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, oversight and project delivery during a defined period of organisational transition. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the role will provide expert financial advice to support strategic decision-making, oversee the performance, governance and capability of Finance, lead priority financial and organisational improvement projects, and ensure financial sustainability, compliance and risk management. This position has a strong focus on review, optimisation, and delivery of key finance and organisational initiatives, rather than day-to-day transactional management.
Desired Skills and Experience
Your application will be assessed against the below vital competencies:
- Senior level financial management expertise, including taxation, compliance, reporting and legal issues
- Tertiary qualifications and CPA/CA accreditation
- Proven commercial acumen and analytical skills
- Strategic mind and proven ability to drive and execute strategic change
- Knowledge and exposure to employment markets and not for profit sector
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including the ability to deliver timely and concise reports to a committee of management, executive and management personnel
- High level of professionalism in organising work and time management
- High-level computer literacy and proficiency in applications such as MS Windows, MS Word and Internet essential
