Position Summary

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations and guide the company through its next phase of growth. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business, including strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and capital structure. This role is ideal for a seasoned finance executive with experience in privately held companies and a passion for driving sustainable value creation.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership
  • Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute long-term strategic plans.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions and growth initiatives.
• Financial Management
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital allocation.
• Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Lead financial due diligence, valuation, and integration efforts for M&A transactions.
  • Develop and execute strategies for inorganic growth, including acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate with legal, operational, and executive teams to ensure successful deal execution and post-merger integration.
• Multi-State Operations
  • Oversee financial compliance and reporting across multiple states, ensuring adherence to varying tax laws, regulatory requirements, and operational standards.
  • Optimize financial structures and processes to support geographically diverse operations.
• Risk & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal controls.
  • Lead risk management efforts, including insurance, legal, and financial risk mitigation.
• Operational Excellence
  • Optimize financial systems, processes, and reporting tools.
  • Drive efficiency and cost management across departments.
• Investor & Stakeholder Relations
  • Manage relationships with banks, investors, auditors, and other financial stakeholders.
  • Prepare materials for board meetings and investor presentations.
• Team Leadership
  • Build and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally in a privately held or mid-market company.
• Proven track record of leading M&A transactions, including financial due diligence and integration.
• Experience across multiple industries such as real estate, manufacturing, distribution, and service-based businesses.
• Demonstrated success managing financial operations across multiple states.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, and financial modeling.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with private equity, capital raising, or strategic partnerships is a plus.
