Chief Financial Officer Full Time

We are seeking a CFO for our London Branch. This is a senior leadership position that will be a critical role within the London Branch and Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s Institutional Banking & Markets (IB&M), Finance Global leadership team, reporting directly to the Global CFO, IB&M.

This role contributes to the strategic direction of the business, demonstrating a high level of knowledge of business challenges, proposed solutions, and appropriate levels of influencing skills. Informing the business with timely, relevant, and meaningful management reporting and performance information accompanied by a high level of regulatory reporting, controls, and reporting systems knowledge. The CFO role is a key member of the London Branch Management Committee, IB&M Finance Global Leadership Team and holds directorships on the Boards of the London Branch Subsidiaries.

To successfully deliver in this role , you will require strong business acumen and conceptual thinking skills combined with experience managing rigorous & disciplined financial controls whilst being passionate about developing high performing teams.

Key attributes include:

• Extensive Executive Manager level experience in a finance function within banking, bringing a deep understanding of key IB&M products and services.
• High level understanding of regulatory reporting, controls, and reporting systems knowledge.
• Demonstrated competence and experience in implementing and managing rigorous, disciplined financial controls, financial management systems, and enterprise performance measures.
• Possess a detailed understanding of risk management and internal control processes, procedures and issues.
• Resilience and composure in an uncertain and fast-moving environment.
• Critical thinking and analytical skills with a high degree of commercial acumen and ability to drive results across a large organization.
• Established record of inclusive leadership of a diverse range of people to achieve high quality outcomes. This role will be leading a team of 7 individuals.
• Ability to communicate articulately, effectively and knowledgeably on issues relevant to the business, and influence decisions.
