Chief Financial Officer Full Time

Editec is a successful lottery and sports betting consultancy, supporting clients in over 26 countries across Africa and the Middle East from a network of offices throughout Europe. The company is fast growing, highly successful, has doubled in size over the last few years and has plans for continued expansion. The company is globally recognised as a start-up specialist for gaming operations in emerging markets.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Chief Financial Officer with excellent organizational and analytical skills who will be accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management of the operation.

Your Role

• Take responsibility for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting, and help drive the company’s financial strategy
• Coordinate development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, as well as reporting for the same
• Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows
• Comply with national and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation and taking appropriate action

Responsibilities

• Work with senior managers to efficiently develop budget proposals, provide access to project finance information, and ensure contract compliance and reporting
• Coordinate and complete annual audits
• Oversee the yearly accounts
• Manage the accounts in a manner that reflects the company’s activities
• Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments, and evaluate and manage capital structure and fundraising initiatives
• Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for earnings calls, management team, and rest of company
• Manage finance personnel ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory entities (ex: Financial Accounting Standards Board, Internal Revenue Service, etc…)
• Work closely with the legal department to ensure abiding by laws and regulations

Required skills and qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in executive leadership roles
• Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning
• Working knowledge of how to raise capital outside traditional lines of credit
• International finance experience
• Ability to work across different parts of the Group and across different locations
