Chief Executive Officer Full Time

Position: Chief Executive Officer, Drug, Alcohol, and Mental Health Treatment Agency

Location: Defiance, OH

Classification: Full Time, Salary, Exempt

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Reports to the Board of Directors. Responsible for the administration and oversight of the day-to-day operations of Recovery Services of Northwest Ohio, Inc.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, administer, and oversee the overall alcohol/drug and mental health program. Assess future trends for the agency.
• Responsible for budgets being prepared, monitoring the agencys operating budget, monitoring overall day-to-day fiscal management of the agency. Responsible for Administrative supervision of Clinical Director and Chief Financial Officer.
• Responsible for developing and implementing the programs policies and procedures, its educational curriculum, and any necessary revisions to the curriculum, in conjunction with the Clinical Director.
• Determine the needs of various segments of the community and develop and market programs to meet them, in conjunction with the Clinical Director.
• Prepare grant applications and research possible new grants.
• Monitor contracts with funding sources and service agreements between agency and referral sources.
• Make formal presentation of the program requests to the Board.
• Develop and sustain effective co-ordination/networking with other individuals and groups working with alcoholism and/or drug addiction and mental health problems and related social issues.
• Maintain standards for certification established by OHMAS and CARF.
• Oversee implementation of staff meetings, in-service training, and case conferences.
• Develop, implement, and administer the Quality Improvement treatment activities of the agency.
• Responsible for keeping the governing authority informed of the programs Quality Improvement activities and findings.
• Develop, implement, and administer agencys program(s) evaluations and annual plan.
• Monitor equipment, furnishings, replacements, and repairs.
• Responsible for the hiring & termination of staff and assurance that the training & evaluation of staff is in compliance with agency policy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Personal experience with the disease of chemical dependency is helpful.
• Valid drivers license
• Bachelors degree and a minimum of five years experience in alcohol and other drug addiction services or an allied profession to include a minimum of two years as a supervisor, OR
• Minimum of six years experience in alcohol and other drug addiction services or an allied profession to include a minimum of three years as a supervisor, OR
• Minimum of five years business administration experience to include a minimum of two years as a supervisor.
• Subject to a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and reference checks.
