Will you join Age UK Norfolk as their new CEO and lead the way in improving the lives of people in later life across the county of Norfolk?
About the role
This is the perfect time for a new CEO to lead Age UK Norfolk to develop and deliver on its strategic plan. Making the most of stronger foundations put in place during 2023-2024 under an interim CEO, you’ll continue to grow and develop services, whilst looking for new funding opportunities to increase the organisation’s impact across the county.
You will be encouraged to develop and shape the strategy by a strong and supportive Board of Trustees with a blend of business, NHS and care backgrounds. The Charity has a strong staff team and is supported by over 180 amazing volunteers.
About the Charity
This is an exciting time to join Age UK Norfolk, to continue to build on the high-quality services that the Charity provides. The Charity is a brand partner of Age UK and operates as standalone organisation responsible for its own governance and viability. We are financially stable with healthy reserves, having been turned around over the past few years by divesting regulated care services, and closing loss-making retail operations.
The organisation has been re-focused and simplified. The Charity now has a laser sharp focus on core services. The Charity’s strategy has been refreshed to deliver services, working with key partners, based on a range of health, wellbeing, care and support offers to enable more independence, informed choice and greater confidence for people in later life across the county. One part of the county, North Norfolk, has the highest forecast prevalence of people aged 66 and over in England. North Norfolk has recently been accredited to join the UK Network of Age-friendly Communities, a growing movement, with over 60 places across the country committed to making their community a better place to age in.
If you have the skills and experience to lead with passion and commitment to improve the lives of people in later life in Norfolk, then we look forward to hearing from you.
