Chief Executive Officer – Tourism

• Salary: up to £150,000 + bonus
• Location: Southwest based ideally – regular travel to Swindon
• Essential experience: Knowledge across tourism, travel logistics, accommodation, and cruising
• Reports: Lead team of directors and report into Trustees

This is a B2B focused business who provides a boutique, customer focused and dedicated service. They have a very well-established long-term relationships and there are clear opportunities for growth and diversification.

They are looking for a Chief Executive Officer to join and lead the senior leadership team and ensure the business continues to grow and thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the senior leadership team through this transition
• Work collaboratively to plan short and long-term growth from a strategic point of view as well as budgetary, working alongside the senior finance team
• Ensure profitability
• Ensure the vision of the business is maintained and expanded
• Work with Operations Directors to build on current relationships and look for existing business growth as well as approaching new business development with energy and enthusiasm
• Develop a long-term vision for the future through dynamic commercial and sales strategies
• People management, coaching and building on an existing great people culture
• Create solutions and find new opportunities for growth

Essential experience and skills

• CEO experience in a minimum £10 million business (ideal having had responsibilities for over £30 million P&L)
• Knowledge across tourism, travel logistics, accommodation or cruising
• Excellent knowledge and proven growth experience in a Business 2 Business sales focused setting
• A passionate people leader who will enjoy working collaboratively and supportively with a well-established, passionate senior team
• Creative and innovative thinker who can find unique yet realistic growth opportunities
• Strong knowledge and proven experience delivery diversification and change of business model
• Experience in new business development and relationship building
• Experience in a premium setting would be ideal
• Experience leading international expansion would be an added bonuses
• Commercially astute, innovative, and creative
• Willingness and ability to travel across the UK
