Lia’s Wings transforms lives through hospital air transfers for children. We are the UK’s international and domestic aeroplane ambulance charity dedicated to ensuring that children and babies who have a medical emergency are safely and swiftly returned to their local hospital or home location within the UK. We also provide a tailored support service for families to help them through crisis, creating improved outcomes and lasting change.
Lia’s Wings has recently expanded internationally, assisting families by repatriating children with medical issues back to the UK, often collaborating closely with British embassies abroad. We ensure that any British citizen can get home to NHS care – even when crisis happens overseas.

We also aim to broaden our overall service proposition by potentially providing comprehensive pre- and post-transfer support services such as counselling as well as overseeing our own clinical governance through the engagement of our own licensed medical practitioners and counsellors, and engaging our own plane fleet.
The CEO will lead the dramatic expansion of the service to allow us to help more families than ever before, ensuring we have the structure and resources to achieve these goals.
