Salary Range: $150,000 – $190,000 per year
- Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Position Summary:
Responsible for providing strategic leadership by working with the Board of Directors
and the Executive Management Team to develop and implement goals, strategies, plans and policies, which in concert with the mission will ensure long term viability for the Agency.
Education:
Preferred: Master’s Degree in Health Profession, Business, Healthcare Administration, or other relevant degree.
Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Health Profession, Business, Healthcare Administration, or other relevant degree.
Experience:
5+ yrs of Healthcare, Hospice Leadership, and/or relevant experience. Appropriate history of progressively responsible leadership.

- Demonstrated advanced skills in areas of problem solving, decision-making, conflict resolution and interpersonal communications
- Ability to represent the Agency effectively in a variety of settings and with diverse communities
- Proficient in the use of management techniques and various related software applications
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate ongoing activities and special projects with multiple deadlines
- Demonstrated knowledge of program administration relevant to management in hospice & health care fields
- Excellent capabilities in written and verbal communications
- Possess a valid NY State drivers license, reliable transportation and ability to travel within a defined geographic area
Job Duties:
Supports operations and administration of Board:
- Advise and inform Board Members of Agency operations
- Supports Board evaluation of CEO
- Interface between Board and staff
- Ensures that Board has sufficient and up to date information
- Provides oversight in recruitment and evaluation of Board Members
- Makes recommendations and supports Board during orientation and self-evaluation
Responsible for Strategic Short- and Long-Range Planning:
- Spearheads the development, communication and implementation of effective strategic plan
- Collaborate with the Executive Management Team to develop & implement plans for operations, infrastructure systems, processes & personnel designed to accommodate the strategic objectives of the Agency
- Evaluates and advises on the impact of short- and long-range planning to Board, Management Team, & staff
- Responsible for the introduction of new programs, strategies and regulatory compliance activities to Board, Management Team, and staff
- Responsible for driving the Agency to achieve and surpass goals and objectives
Manages financial resources responsibly and in a manner that ensures successful continuation of Agency:
- Together with the Chief Financial Officer, recommends yearly budget for Board approval
- With Chief Financial Officer, manages the financial resources of the Agency in accordance with the yearly budget and makes appropriate adjustments to conform to changing financial conditions
- Prudently manages Agency resources to provide compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Works with the Management Team to plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the Agency’s fiscal functions and performance
Assures the Agency and its mission, programs, and services are consistently presented in strong, positive image:
- Represents the Agency with business partners and community
- Represents the Agency in its roles with NHPCO, HPCANYS, and CNY Hospice Alliance
- Supervises the Director of Hospice Foundation of CNY to assure Agency meets development goals and presents a strong, positive image
- All other duties as recommended by the board of directors
Manages Executive Team:
- Motivates and leads the Agency’s Management Team
- Attracts, recruits and retains required members of the Management Team
- Provides mentoring to the Management Team
- Assists appropriate management staff in hiring, firing, evaluating, disciplining and supervising all staff as needed
- Provides Agency direction to all staff
- Establishes credibility throughout the Agency as an effective developer of solutions to business and community challenges
- Provides leadership and management to ensure that the mission and values of the Agency are practiced
