Our Board are seeking to appoint a Chief Executive following the move of Dr Nick Broughton to the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board. This is a great opportunity for a dedicated leader who understands and thrives in mental health and community services and can help us achieve our potential.
We are rated Good by the Care Quality Commission but, like everyone else, strive to deal with tight recruitment and surging demand. A special dimension of this Trust is our deep commitment to advancing knowledge through our partnership with the University of Oxford for the benefit of our patients. We value kindness, respect, innovation and diversity and are seeking a transformational and motivated leader with great vision, energy and drive to join us in making a sustainable and lasting difference to our populations and the people we provide care for.
The Board of Oxford Health comprises committed executive directors and high-quality non-executives led by an experienced chair. We are active participants in and lead a set of provider collaboratives and seek to play an active role in the two integrated care systems in which we provide services.
The Chief Executive needs to work inside the organisation to streamline process, engage and motivate our doctors, nurses and allied health professionals and at the same time foster relations with local government, the voluntary sector, primary care and other NHS partners, ensuring Oxford Health is present and attended/actively engaged to in regional and national conversations.
We span a wide area, from the outskirts of Bristol to the London suburbs and a compendium of services, including forensic mental health wards and health services in prisons. Our strengths include a big commitment to staff learning and development; we have a way to go to realise our own and wider NHS ambitions on equality, diversity and inclusion.
We provide physical, mental health and social care for people of all ages across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Swindon, Wiltshire, Bath and North East Somerset. Our services are delivered at community bases, hospitals, clinics and people’s homes, delivering care as close to home as possible.
